Mobile Support
Current State
Section titled “Current State”SOLANA ZERO is built as a browser-based 3D game. On mobile, that means:
- You play via a modern mobile browser (e.g. recent Chrome/Chromium-based or Safari versions).
- Rendering uses WebGPU where available, and falls back to WebGL 2 when needed.
Because it is a real-time action game, performance will vary a lot by device.
Recommended Devices
Section titled “Recommended Devices”You will have a better experience if your device has:
- A relatively recent CPU/GPU (high-end or gaming-focused phones).
- Good thermal headroom (the game is demanding).
- A stable network connection with low latency.
Lower-end or older devices may still load the game, but you can expect:
- Lower frame rates.
- Occasional visual downgrades.
- Possible browser-imposed limits on WebGPU/WebGL usage.
Wallet Connection on Mobile
Section titled “Wallet Connection on Mobile”You can play casually without a wallet, but to earn tokens and participate in ranked systems you will want to connect a Solana wallet.
Typical paths:
- Use a wallet that has an in-app browser and open solz.fun directly there.
- Or use a mobile browser that can connect to Solana wallets via supported standards.
If you just want to test gameplay first, you can:
- Open solz.fun.
- Play as guest (no wallet).
- Later follow Quick Account Setup to enable ranked rewards.
Controls
Section titled “Controls”- Default: touchscreen controls mapped to movement, aim, and actions.
- Some devices/browsers may support external controllers, but support can vary and is considered experimental.
Control mappings and options will continue to evolve based on feedback.
App-Store Distribution
Section titled “App-Store Distribution”The browser and mobile runtime share the same game foundation.
| Distribution | Status | Link |
|---|---|---|
| Solana Mobile | Available | Open on Seeker Tracker |
| Google Play | Available | Open on Google Play |
| Apple App Store | TBC | Not published yet |
| CrazyGames | TBC | Not published yet |
| itch.io | TBC | Not published yet |
Supported app-store builds use simulated Soda Currency for the Soda Stake track instead of exposing real-token Ranked where distribution policy does not allow it.
Mobile work continues to include:
- better defaults per device class;
- more aggressive performance tuning;
- additional storefront packaging and account flows; and
- consistent controls across browser and installed-app surfaces.
The experience target remains:
“Good enough to grind matches on a modern phone, with the full on-chain stack still working.”
